Abdominal aortic aneurysm - endovascular stent-grafts: Review update - January 2012

Review of NICE Technology Appraisal Guidance No 167; Endovascular stent-grafts for the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms

Decision to defer the review

The planned date for review of the above guidance was January 2012.

This is the date at which the Institute decides whether sufficient new evidence has emerged for the Appraisal Committee to be asked to undertake a full review appraisal.

The evidence published since publication of TA167 largely supports previous findings and is unlikely to lead to a change in the recommendations of the original guidance.  However, the IMPROVE trial in people with ruptured aneurysms is due to report in March 2013.  The decision to review TA167 will be deferred until these results are available.
