To support the implementation of NICE guidance, audit criteria are developed by CASPE. The aim of the criteria is to help NHS organisations with their baseline assessment and to help them review and monitor practice to ensure compliance with the NICE recommendations. They provide ready-to-use criteria which can be cut and pasted into existing audit tools and they include exceptions, definitions and data source suggestions.
