Physical activity advice in primary care

Physical activity - brief advice for adults in primary care

Status: Referred
Expected date of issue: May 2013
Wave: 11
Process: PHI
Notes:

This is a partial update of the 'brief advice' recommendations from NICE guidance on 'Four commonly used methods to increase physical activity' (PH2). This update will have an additional focus on infrastructure and systems detail. It will also consider mental wellbeing as an outcome as well as physical activity.

NICE is also considering whether the ‘exercise referral’ recommendations in PH2 should be updated, as a separate piece of work. A proposal will be released to stakeholders for consultation between 8to 22 June – if your organisation would like to register as a stakeholder, please fill in the short online registration form on our website here: NICE Public Health Stakeholder Registration Form
