Workplace interventions to promote smoking cessation: costing template (summary version for employers)
Costing tools have been produced by NICE to support the implementation of the public health intervention PHI005 - workplace health promotion: how to help employees to stop smoking.
As part of this work, a simple costing tool has been created to calculate the potential increase in activity in stop smoking services that may arise as a result of the forthcoming stop smoking legislation. Part of this increase in activity will relate to stop smoking activities in the workplace.
This version uses excel and may be of particular interest to stop smoking services. The assumptions can be altered to better reflect local circumstances.
To support implementation a slide set and implementation advice have also been produced.
The Institute would welcome feedback from users to inform the development of future templates. Please email your comments to costing@nice.org.uk
