Workplace interventions to promote smoking cessation: costing template (full business case for employers)
Costing tools have been produced by NICE to support the implementation of the public health intervention PHI005 - workplace health promotion: how to help employees to stop smoking.
As part of this work, a business case costing tool has been developed in several formats. These business cases indicate the potential costs and savings to employers from encouraging and supporting employees to quit smoking using effective and evidence-based interventions.
This version uses excel and may be of particular interest to larger organisations or to stop smoking services. The assumptions can be altered to better reflect local circumstances.
To support implementation a slide set and implementation advice have also been produced.
The Institute would welcome feedback from users to inform the development of future templates. Please email your comments to costing@nice.org.uk
