Long-acting reversible contraception: cost impact report

This report has been produced by NICE to provide an implementation tool assessing the estimated financial impact on the NHS of the implementation of the clinical guideline.

The report published focuses on the financial impact of key factors in the clinical guideline on long-acting reversible contraception in England. The report has been prepared in consultation with the guideline developers and has been approved for publication by the Institute. It should be noted that the cost and activity assessments in the reports are estimates based on a number of assumptions and provide an indication of the likely impact of the principal recommendations and are not absolute figures.

As part of this work, a template has been developed to provide health communities with the ability to assess the likely local impact of the principal recommendations in the guideline.
