The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) has commissioned the National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health to develop this guideline as a partial  update of  the clinical guideline on Anxiety CG22, which was published by NICE in December 2004 and the clinical guideline on Depression CG23.

Other sections of CG22 and CG23 are currently being updated please see the following links for further information.

2 October 2009 The draft scope is out for consultation with stakeholders. The scope defines what aspects of care the guideline will cover and to whom it will apply. If you wish to comment, you need to do so via one of the registered stakeholder organisations listed, by the deadline shown.
